The shining starlets are the next big thing in the African women soccer.

Harambee Starlets make a successful return, after scoring 25 goals and conceding none to lift first CECAFA title as Kenya Football Federation (FKF) and Kenyan Government promise more surpport.

Football Kenya federation is vouching for full commitment by the government in supporting Women’s team Harambee starlets, which is increasingly making headways in international assignments.

FKF president Nick Mwendwa said while he acknowledges the support the government is giving starlets, it was not enough especially given the high profile events the team is facing including the 2023 world cup qualifiers.

The FKF supremo made the remarks yesterday after starlets made a triumphant return from Dar-es-salaam where they beat the host Tanzania 2-0 to clinch their first ever CECAFA championship title.

According to our analysis Harambee starlets could be the next force to recon in the African Women’s football.

This team has a higher chance of bringing more glory to Kenya compared to the men’s team the  Harambee starts. The only thing is for Football Kenya Federation and the government of Kenya to give these ladies a favourable environment.

What we meant is for the concern bodies to pay players allowances and more preparation before and international duties.
